VLF technology has found application in the testing of transformers despite the low capacitance of the test objects and the small resulting currents at 0.1 Hz.

The portability of our equipment and the integrated measurement facility means that the equipment can be used in manufacturing environments to easily test the transformer sub-assemblies prior to final assembly.

In the field quick checks can be made due to the benefits of small size and weight.

Other Applications (Switchgear etc)

VLF Testing is not limited to the applications mentioned on this website. Our VLF instruments can be used wherever there is a need for testing of high voltage capacitive loads.

For example, we have had an application where a customer used our equipment to test the capacitors in high voltage capacitor banks.

We have universities using our equipment with special firmware to generate 0.001 Hz waveforms.
